The dark story of the band begins in
a Kensington high school where a few music lovers decided to drown out all the
rap with thier own form of dark music. Mastbaum high school November 2001, the
decision was final for 5 young students. They were Mario Scuderi (guitar), Ryan
Cease (vocals), Brian Gilderman (bass), Charles Frascatore (drums), and Charles
Dion (vocals) a.k.a. Dink. After the band was constructed they all met at Brian's
house for practice. They decided to play the Mastbaum talent show to try to
overpower the rap. After a month, Dink left the band for personal reasons. After
Dink left they thought of a name. Something they could all relate to and identify
with. The name was Misled Youth. They learned a few covers and everything was
peachy. Mario said, "we have to start originals." Everyone agreed.
But shortly problems arose. Charles Frascatore had different musical views then
the other members. Sadly he was next to leave the band. After the breakup the
band was at a stand still. Then one day a tiny miracle came a long. His name
was Mike Scuderi, the kid brother of Mario Scuderi. Mike was only 13 when he
started the band, but his talent was of that of a 20 year old. This was the
start of a tight brotherhood, but there was one more problem, the guitar sound
was weak. They needed a rythem guitarist. A week later Mario's friend Chris
Casper tried out and joined the band. It was complete. Time for the talent show
and a new name. After much thought one name just stuck out. It was Violent Whispers.
After a blistering performance the band knew they were going places. The band
continued to practice and wrote more songs. Finally it was time for the bands
first official show. Luckily for the band they were still friends with thier
old drummer who had a show at a local music club called Club HP. They needed
a band to open up for them. The band gladly accepted. The band played and killed.
The crowd was shocked to see a young band with so much talent and such a dark
and demented side. Time passed, shows were played, and the dream was comming
true. Then it hit. Personal aggresion was building between Mario and Chris.
To end all the fighting and to save the band, Chris left the band. The band
tried a couple shows without him but the sound wasn't the same. They needed
another guitarist. They tried out a vocalist/guitarist named Fred Leopold. His
style and his attitude were just what the band needed. After Fred joined, the
band recorded its first demo, a three song e.p. called Silent Screaming. They
had triumphed after all. No matter what was thrown their way, Violent Whispers
lived on and will continue to live on through the member's undying dedication.
